we began to reflect on a simple question:
“Could we create a bag that is lighter and more free?”
Leather is a beautiful material, valued for its texture and durability.
At the same time, it has weight of its own.
As interlinings, linings, and metal hardware are added,
the overall weight of a bag can become heavier than expected.
For an everyday bag, that weight can sometimes feel like a burden.
When it comes to fabrics, there are countless options available.
However, rather than simply choosing a lighter material,
we wanted to use something that expresses a sense of Japan—
especially because our bags are made in Japan.
