Handmade Washi from Mino: Washi made in Mino is carefully handmade, sheet by sheet, by skilled artisans. The washi used in WASHIKA bags is a thick, reinforced variety made exclusively for WASHIKA.
Kakishibu Dyeing: The washi is dyed with kakishibu (persimmon tannin), a traditional Japanese dye, giving it a deep color and character.
Masu: The hinoki masu gives off a pleasant fragrance when new. With use, its color deepens and gradually turns a beautiful amber.
